EDP Coating
EDP, otherwise known as E-Coat or Electrophoretically Deposited Paint, is eminently suited for applications over wrought and Cast Steels/Irons, Zinc or Aluminium die cast, Bronze welded and Zinc coated steels.
Unlike other electroplated or powder coatings, the EDP process is capable of coating deep recesses in complex shapes while maintaining a uniform thickness. It can provide a corrosion resistance under neutral salt spray test conditions of up to 2000 hours in composite form with a Zinc base coat.
This coating has enabled the automobile and outboard motor manufacturers of the world to give six-year corrosion warranties under severe salted roads and saltwater environments.
